Giving!

GIVING! 2 Corinthians 9: 7,8
7Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.
8And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9: 7,8

GIVING! Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Luke 6:38

GIVING! Matthew 6:3,4
3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Dressing for the battle, from Dr. Charles Stanley.

Lord by faith this morning I am putting on the girdle of truth because I want to walk in truth today. I’m putting on the breastplate of righteousness because I want you to guard my emotions today. I’m putting on the boots of the preparation to be ready to stand firm, to stand firm in my relationship with you God because I have the Peace with you. I’m taking the shield of faith because I am going to trust you God today for everything. I’m putting on the helmet of salvation today because I want you to guard my thinking all day long. Don’t let me think the wrong things. I take the sword of the Spirit, your precious word. I want you to bring it to mind every time I get tempted, tested, and tried. And today I want to walk as a Well Armed Solider of the Son of God. And today I want Satan to be defeated every time he fires one of those things at me and I want to thank you God that it will be deflect by the shield of Faith. And I will be victorious today.
AMEN

The Race!

THE RACE! Hebrews 12:1,2

1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Hebrews 12:1,2

THE RACE! 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.26Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.1 Corinthians 9:24-27

THE RACE! 2 Timothy 4:7,8

7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.2 Timothy 4:7,8

Word Hebrews 4:12 ,13 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12 ,13
Word 2Timothy 3:16,17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Word 2Timothy 3:16,17

Identity Psalms 139:13,14 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that FULL well. Psalms 139:13,14

Identity Ephesians 5:1 1Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Welcome!

I have a bad memory, and have blamed it all my life for remembering names, dates, and numbers. But in Jan 2010, God helped me see, that I don't fail to remember my address, books, movie names, song lyrics, certain quotes, many people names. And I read that the human brain can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica!

The verses I memorised at Sunday class as a kid- 1 verse per week, well I hardly remember them. May be it was memorised, because I have to.

So here I am, because I 'want to' learn God's words. Not just to recite them whenever I want to, but to make it my own. Down in my heart. That I will depend not on the belief superficialy, but because His word says so. I believe his words are sharper than the double edged sword, and when I obey and live his word, that he will renew me as he has promised.

Benefits of memorising are in http://www.memoryverses.org/. It is not a time pass, not a joke. It needs committment, and dedication.

Bunch of like minded friends at work, got excited too, and we memorise 3 per week. This blog keeps track of all the verses we have learnt. Thank you for reading. And join us, if you 'want to'.
